This course covers the basic operating system that runs Apple computers whether it is Leopard (10.5), Snow Leopard (10.6), Lion (10.7) or Mountain Lion (10.8). This course can be delivered in one or two day classes in either four or eight hour sessions. Topics include: The User Interface, Preferences, Menus and Menus Paths, Finder Essentials, Customizing your Desktop and Toolbars, The Dock, The Home Folder, Hand Gestures, Spotlight, Widgets, Spaces, Expose, Installation applications and connecting to the Internet, etc.
MAC OS TECHNICAL TRAINING
Topics covered in the Support Essential course include: Installation, User Accounts, File Systems, Data Management, Applications and Processes, Network Conﬁgurations, Network Services, Peripherals and Printing and System Start-Up. Topics for the Server Essentials include: Installing and conﬁguring OS X servers, Authenticating and Authorizing accounts, Using Open Directories, Managing Accounts, Using Collaborative Services, Deployment Solutions, and Managing Web Services. Certiﬁcation is available. Courses are three days in length.
