New Horizons of Southern California (NHSoCal) hosted the official signing ceremony for their new partnership with PaYS, Partnership for Youth Success and the U.S. Army on December 3, 2013. This new partnership expands NHSoCal’s determination to give back to our veteran community and do everything we can to help these heroic men and women transition successfully back into civilian life. In addition to their individual veteran friendly training programs and initiatives, NHSoCal is working to get even more of the Army veterans successfully employed and appreciated.
PaYS and their partners enable organizations to plan out the hiring needs for their companies and veterans, reserve soldiers, and ROTC lieutenants to allow these leaders an opportunity to interview and join their teams. These applicants have the Army values, leadership qualities, discipline, and other tangible and intangible traits that are essential to the success of an organization. New Horizons recognizes the decision making, management and leadership skills will enhance these heroes’ future successes.
NHSoCal and PaYS are allowing companies, and those looking for employment to with alongside with Army recruiters and local ROTC programs to encourage the youth to stay in school, set goals, and leading a life of value while preparing them for future success in the military and professional world. These companies will agree to interview PaYS veterans for applicable positions, provide feedback during the interview process, and help mentor these individuals on resume/interview skills and building better qualifications, helping these individuals on the correct path for success.
We urge our community to take advantage of the opportunity to give back to our young heroes and help them succeed. In addition to PaYS, New Horizons of Southern California is determined to help 500 veterans find prosperous careers in 2014.
