About Six Sigma
Six Sigma is a combination of tools and strategies for process improvement originally developed by Motorola in 1986. Six Sigma became very popular after General Electric made Six Sigma a central focus of their business structure in 1995.
The Six Sigma goal is to improve the quality of processes by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes.
